This beach (also known as Lighthouse Beach or Western Esplanade Beach) is located on the Western Esplanade and is popular with cruise ship visitors, as it is only a short ten minute walk from Nassau habour.

At this beach you will find the largest range of amenities from public bathrooms, small wooden huts offering food and drinks and just about everything else you may need for your day at the beach. As it is located in the harbour, the water is usually calm and great for young children to play at the water’s edge. Its convenient location means that it can get quite busy when there are several cruise ships in port or during spring break.

If you find the beach too crowded, you can buy a day pass at the British Colonial Hilton front desk for $65.00 per person.  The day pass includes access to the pool, beach, a towel, and includes a $40 food and beverage credit. Children twelve years old and under are $32.50 and they receive a $20.00 food and beverage credit.

If you keep on walking west along the beach you will reach Arawak Cay, called “The Fish Fry” by the locals. This is the best place to get a taste of the local cuisine.
