This beach is located along West Bay Street between downtown Nassau and Cable Beach. There are several man-made rock coves that are roped-off for swimming, which is ideal for families with small children. There is also a nice children playground.
As there are no hotels nearby, this beach is mostly used by locals during weekends and public holidays, so it is usually very quiet during the week. Clean restroom facilities are on site as well as outside showers.
There are usually no vendor carts or jet-ski rentals here, but you will find a small convenience store located across the road at the Shell gas station. Should you feel more hungry, there is also a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, a Pizza Hut, and a small plaza with an excellent Chinese restaurant. In the plaza you will also find a find a book store, a liquor store and a pharmacy to make your beach day perfect.
If you have some time on your hands, you can walk along West Bay Street for about five minutes in the opposite direction of town (going west) and you will arrive at the “Go Slow Bend” with a spectacular view of the coastline of the Cable Beach hotel strip.

How to get there:
Take the Jitney (local bus) #10 at the corner of George Street with Bay Street or in front of the downtown Mc Donald’s. The fare is $1.25 per person (exact change preferred) and paid upon exiting the Jitney. Let the driver know in advance where you are going or simply shout "Bus stop!" to get off. It takes about 10 minutes from downtown.
